Habitat for Humanity Singapore is part of an international Christian nonprofit housing organisation, working for people of all backgrounds regardless of their race, language or religion. Since its inception in 2004, Habitat Singapore seeks to eliminate poverty housing worldwide by working alongside homeowners to build simple, decent houses.

Anchored by the vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live, Habitat Singapore has continually mobilised volunteers under its Global Village programme for building projects and disaster response all over the world, including China, Philippines and India. Locally, Habitat Singapore started Project HomeWorks, a programme that seeks to improve the living conditions, safety and sanitation of the growing number of vulnerable elderly across the island.

ABOUT

Habitat's StarBuilders programme enables youths from disadvantaged and marginalised backgrounds to take part in a Habitat experience. This can take the form of overseas builds under the Global Village programme or local home clean-up sessions under Project HomeWorks. Many young people have the desire to give back but lack the resources to do so; at the same time, we have found the volunteer experience to be transformative for these youths.

Cycle Out Poverty (COP) is Habitat for Humanity Singapore’s first charity cycling event that seeks to raise S$50,000 for our latest initiative, the Star-Builders programme which enables youths from disadvantaged and marginalised backgrounds to take part in a Habitat experience.

Regardless of your cycling proficiency, you have the opportunity to empower others through this fun, family-oriented event by going the extra mile and starting your own fundraising campaign.

40KM, 25KM and 5KM Fun Ride categories are available, and attractive prizes are in store for Best Dressed and Top Fundraiser. When you’re done with your route on the Eastern Park Connector Network, regroup at the Changi Civil Service Club for food, music and activities galore!
